The point is to understand the difference quickly enough to buy with confidence, not to decode legal jargon for half an hour.
What to compare
A basic MP3 license may be enough for a simple release path. A WAV license becomes more comfortable as soon as the vocals need proper mixing, while stems matter once the production has to go further in arrangement or mix detail.
Exclusivity is not automatically the “best” option. It becomes relevant when the release strategy requires the beat to leave the public catalog for future sales.
